Coalition of youths in North East has converged in Gombe state to rally support for former Vice president Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential ambition ahead of the 2019 election.
According to reports, the youths pledged their support for Atiku when they paid a courtesy visit to Senator Saidu Umar Kumo, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in the state.
The youths led by Jibrin Kabir, stated that his delegation had come to welcome Kumo back to the PDP, after he had left the party in January, 2018, due to what he described as unfair treatment and injustice.
According to Kabir, Atiku would surely gain the PDP ticket and win the presidential election in 2019, God willing, with politicians like Kumo in the party.
He stated: “We are all living witnesses when Garkuwa (Senator Kumo) led the Dankwambo’s campaign organization in the 2015 general elections where he defied the Buhari’s tsunami and successfully delivered Dankwambo as the first PDP governor to win his election in the entire north and later his Taraba state counterpart, Darius Dickson Ishaku.”
