Anambra state Bans Okada riders


The Anambra state government has banned motor cyclists popularly known as Okada in two cities in the state.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Mr James Eze, released a press statement after the state exco disclosing the state plan to ban Okada riders in two cities of the state, Onitsha and Awka.

They were given till July 1,2018 to find another trade or relocate from these cities.
Similarly, they also banned people who are living in a Make shift structures around the banks of River Niger at Onitsha to Ogbaru and have them till August 1st vacate or face the law.

He also confirmed that illegal structures along Awka road in Onitsha will be demolished, warning occupants to vacate the areas.

We also gathered that the Dora Akunyili development center would be redesigned to a World Standard Stadium.
