The President General of Anioma Youth Council (AYC) and the representative of Niger-Delta ethnic nationalities youth leaders council,NDENYLC,in the Nigeria ethnic nationalities youth leaders Forum,NENYLF,Comr. Enudi Marcus, has called on Niger-Delta militants threatening to unleash hell on Oil installations in the Niger Delta area to have a rethink and tow the line of dialogue, as nobody shows his strength destroying his source of development and livelihood.
The President made this call at the state capital Asaba, during a stakeholders meeting in the state, stating; “the country is already in a terrible shape economically, and threatening to unleash hell on oil facilities/pipelines is not going to help matters”. We may have mixed feelings on how the country is politically, but we should not work towards ruining it by targeting its source of revenue, he added.
He also called on the President of Nigeria, President Buhari, to honour the agreement made with the Niger Delta stakeholders, to avert crises in Niger-Delta and Nigeria, as both won’t benefit anything positivity from any kind of stand off or crises.
Comr. Enudi Marcus, finally opined that it is always the people of Niger-Delta that suffers oil pipeline bombings directly. The poor farmers in Niger-Delta are suffering as a result of the initial bombings, which resulted to degradation of the environment.
Finally, the PG, condemns the killing of Army officers in Yobe state, by Boko haram members, the killing of police officers and others in Adamawa, by Fulani herdsmen, and the genocide in southern kaduna. Stating that the Buhari administration has failed in the protection of the lives of Nigerians, unless something is done to stop all these killings.
Note:this appeal was first done on 9th of January 2017,but still very effective.
