The Nigeria Institute of Building has expressed its resolve to establish enduring collaborative relationship that would make the University a veritable partner and the Centre of Excellence for Building Studies in the South East zone of Nigeria and beyond.
The president of the zone, Bldr. Kenneth Nnamdi Nnabuife Nduka made this known during a courtesy call of the South East/South South zone to the Vice-Chancellor’s office recently to kick start the Institute’s two-day workshop hosted in UNIZIK.

Also, the commendable roles of the staff and graduates of the Department of Building, coupled with the tremendous performances of its graduates in the institute’s professional examinations, lays credence to the institute’s decision.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, FAS represented by the DVC (Academic), Prof. Charles Esimone, FAS noted with joy the decision of the Nigeria Institute of Building to give UNIZIK such honour.
Prof. Esimone stated that the present administration has always aimed towards identifying with the best, and partnering with the Nigeria Institute of Building will state the university’s professionalism intent clearly.
