NYSC Promises To Partner EFCC In Corruption Fight


The Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Maiduguri office, Aminu Ado Aliyu has reiterated his commitments towards the fight against corruption and promised not to leave any stone unturned in his quest to fighting corruption in Borno and Yobe States while promising to continue to collaborate with the NYSC who are stakeholders with the Commission.

Aliyu stated this at the Maiduguri offices, on Thursday, July 5, 2018 when Borno State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Ornan Mike, together with the Executive Members of the EFCC- NYSC Anti-Corruption Group, paid a courtesy visit to the office.

According to Aliyu, “my office is always open when you have any vital information you wish to share with the Commission. I know you are facing a lot of hitches especially when it comes to sensitizing the populace”

“I want to urge you to continue with the good work you are doing for your father land, if you achieve in sensitizing one person against corruption, you have achieve your goal.”

The Zonal Head also encouraged members of the CDS group to put much effort, commitments, dedication and zeal in their primary assignments.

While appreciating the efforts of members of the CDS group, the Public Affairs Directorate of the presented them with Flex Banners, T-shirts, face-caps and EFCC Publications to be used during the activities of the Anti-corruption CDs group across the state.

Mike thanked the Head for the gesture and for identifying with the Corp Members during the one year mandatory service. He promised to continue to guide members in carrying out their primary assignment and urged them to be good ambassadors in the fight against corruption in the state and Nigeria at large.

While appreciating the efforts of the Commission, Secretary of the CDs Group, Muhammad Sani Muhammad, on behalf of the members, promised to continue to sensitize the general public against corruption.
